Our handmade items from Kenya, Rwanda, and India save and change lives!
On our first trip to Kenya, we learned that one of the biggest struggles that girls face is missing school every month because of their periods. Girls use what they can to try and stop their flow enough to go to school - even resorting to mud, leaves, twigs, or even rocks - because they know that EDUCATION is the only way out of the poverty cycle. Girls miss one week of school each month, getting behind in classes until many of them end up dropping out of school.
We have also seen the need for job training. So many single mothers were not able to finish their education when they were young, and now they struggle to provide for their own children. We aren’t about giving handouts - but we do believe in giving our sisters the tools they need to become the hero of their own story!
That’s where YOU come in! Our handmade SheHopes tote bags are made of beautiful Kenyan and Rwandan fabrics. The sale of each bag provides women and girls with job training and enough sanitary supplies for an ENTIRE YEAR!
You can carry HOPE with you every day!
